Dean Evans & Associates Advances Hoteling Software to Web
New office scheduling software helps corporations efficiently manage
mobile workforce, multiple sites and workspaces
DENVER -- Dean Evans & Associates (www.dea.com)
has introduced EMS Hoteling version 1.5 for mobile workforce management.
An extension of the company’s established event management and
scheduling (EMS) software, the new hoteling module efficiently schedules
people, space and resources in a complex corporate environment via the
Web.
“Our corporate clients said they needed to save time and money for an
increasingly mobile and connected workforce,” said Kevin Raasch,
executive vice president of Dean Evans & Associates. “With research
showing the mobile workforce continuing to grow, we developed an
easy-to-use, Web-based interface for office space reservations on a
regional, national or global scale.”
EMS Hoteling version 1.5 is a combination of DEA’s client-server application
EMS Enterprise and its Web-based application Virtual EMS Enterprise. It
allows companies to “office” more people in less space, reducing real
estate costs, increasing productivity and providing mobile employees with
all the comforts and technology of a permanent workspace.
According to Raasch, EMS Hoteling version 1.5’s Web interface allows employees to
make a “reservation” for temporary workspace across any of their
company’s participating properties. The request is completed when the reservation
is confirmed and returned to the user via email.
“Both the employer and the employee win big,” said Raasch. “Not
only does the company save a lot of money in real-estate costs, they also
realize greater productivity in their mobile workforce.
And employees like it because it minimizes travel hassles and keeps
them better connected to their company, their customers and their
work. In today's mobile and technology-driven business environment,
EMS Hoteling simply makes good business sense.”
DEA’s hoteling software has been implemented at Accenture (formerly Andersen
Consulting) and can be easily deployed and integrated to meet the needs of
any large corporation with a mobile workforce.
Raasch says future upgrades of EMS Hoteling will offer the option of a fully
automated interface with instant reservation confirmations.
