Dean Evans & Associates Announces New Version of Resource Scheduling and Calendaring Software

EMS Professional 8.0 enhances collaborative features for higher education and corporate workplaces

DENVER -- Dean Evans & Associates (www.dea.com) has announced the release of EMS Professional 8.0 – the industry-standard room scheduling and event management software designed for higher education, corporate and organizational resource scheduling and calendaring. The latest version of EMS Professional offers time saving tools to streamline the process of reservations, and improve communication and collaboration between departments and customers.

“Professional 8.0 takes the scheduling complexities of today’s meeting-filled work environment and puts them behind the scenes,” said Kevin Raasch, executive vice president of Dean Evans & Associates. “We use powerful wizards, tools and visual display features plus Web-based capabilities to improve scheduling, reduce process latency and save organizations time and money.”

EMS Professional 8.0 tracks everything from initial contact with the customer to final settlement of the bill, including the management of all event-related services and resources. It comes with a complete set of clear, concise reports, including confirmations, schedules, calendars, worksheets, invoices and managerial reports. With the complex, detailed scheduling requirements in higher education and corporations, these EMS reports help keep all staff on the same page and coordinate resources that have to come together such as catering, AV, security and set-up requirements.

The optional Web-based module, Virtual EMS Professional, allows browser-based display and real-time management of scheduled events with additional features for checking space availability and allowing authorized users to make reservation requests through a secured online request engine.

“Email and a fancy calendar just doesn’t cut it anymore,” said Raasch. “Today’s customer is looking for scheduling solutions that improve workflow, work performance, and provide high levels of service for employees and customers. EMS offers all of that plus an outstanding reputation for customer service and the reliability of a company that’s been in the industry for more than 15 years.”

EMS Professional 8.0 features include:

  • Drag-and-Drop Reservation Book – for quick and easy changes or making new reservations.
  • *Redesigned Web Interface – features greater search capabilities; information can be displayed in calendar-style format with the option of showing events by the week or month.
  • Enhanced Reservation Tools – includes the ability to search for a specific room’s availability across any conceivable pattern of dates.
  • *vCalendar Interface – the Virtual EMS Professional module now supports the vCalendar standard for the quick and easy exchange of calendaring and scheduling information between EMS and a personal calendar system such as Microsoft Outlook.
  • Detailed Conflict Information – the Reservation Wizard can now display detailed conflict information when rooms aren't available because of existing events.
  • *Customizable Online Request Form – create and format your own Web Questions to collect detailed reservation information.

Additional features such as Enhanced Email, New Administrative Utilities, Personal Web Accounts, Import Logo for Confirmations and Invoices and New Pricing Tools are available on the Dean Evans & Associates Web site at www.dea.com/Pro/ProNew.aspx.

*Requires both EMS Professional and Virtual EMS Professional module.
