School Districts Choosing EMS Scheduling Software from Dean Evans & Associates
at Record Rate
First quarter K-12 numbers point to a doubling of sales in 2005 over 2004
DENVER -- Dean Evans & Associates (www.dea.com)
today announced that based on first quarter sales of its EMS (Event Management System)
product line to schools and school districts, sales to that market for 2005 may
be more than twice that of the prior year. EMS room and resource scheduling systems
are used to manage facility use permits, coordinate community space rentals, schedule
after school activities, post event information to the Internet and generate invoices.
“We’re pleased with what our first quarter sales figures seem to be saying about
our ability to meet the needs of schools and school districts,” says Sean Mulvey,
director of sales for Dean Evans & Associates. “We feel that our products are a
great fit for the K-12 market, and more and more organizations seem to be agreeing
and spreading the word.”
Founded nearly 20 years ago with a focus on providing scheduling solutions to higher
education, Dean Evans & Associates has successfully expanded into a number of markets
since then. Most recently the company has turned its attention to the unique scheduling
needs of K-12 schools and school districts.
“Our relationship with the public schools is a business relationship, but there’s
a personal element to it as well,” says Kevin Raasch, executive vice president of
Dean Evans & Associates. “Many of us at the company have school-age children and
we know what a challenge it is for the districts just to get school-related events
scheduled. Add to that an increasing number of after school activities – both for
the student body and for the general public – and K-12 staff members are really
fighting an uphill battle. It’s a source of both professional and personal satisfaction
that we can give them the tools they need to provide great service to the community.”
