EMS Master Calendar 1.5 Delivers Enhanced Functionality, Security
Dean Evans & Associates begins shipping latest release of Internet-based calendaring
and event publishing system
DENVER -- Dean Evans & Associates (www.dea.com)
today announced the release of Version 1.5 of its EMS Master Calendar™ product.
The Master Calendar is a web-based system designed to be the primary online source
of event information for a university, school district, municipality or other large
organization. The system can be used to maintain any number of unique calendars,
each managed by the department or entity whose events it contains, with display
of calendars being centrally authorized and coordinated at the organization level.
System users can view events from one or multiple calendars simultaneously, download
specific events to their personal calendars, and request emailed event reminders.
While it is a fully independent product, the Master Calendar can be used to display
event information imported from other files and products, including Dean Evans’
Event Management System family of facility and resource scheduling tools.
"The EMS Master Calendar product has allowed our campus the opportunity to work
collectively at offering a one-stop-shop information service for our campus at-large,”
says Paul Reynolds, assistant director of the University Center at Texas A&M University
– Corpus Christi and a beta tester for Version 1.5. “The product is well integrated,
easy to use, and easy to manage. More importantly, as has become the custom for
Dean Evans and Associates, they are very responsive to our thoughts and opinions
on how to make the product even better. In some shape or form, this is a product
in which every campus in America should invest."
Some of the new features in EMS Master Calendar 1.5 include emailed event reminders
and event change notifications, the display of cancelled events on the calendar
in a strikethrough font (e.g., Staff Meeting)
and calendar data export capability. Also available are enhanced calendar navigation,
automatic log in functionality, and query string encryption for improved security.
“Master Calendar Version 1.0 made quite a splash with our customers and prospects
when we released it last fall,” says Sean Mulvey, director of sales at Dean Evans
& Associates. “We think that the enhancements that have been made in Version 1.5
solidify its position as the most functional, user friendly and cost effective product
of its kind on the market.”
