EMS Professional 9.1 Offers Self-Service Facility and Resource Scheduling from the Internet

Dean Evans & Associates' latest release provides secure, web-based access to meeting and event data

DENVER -- Dean Evans & Associates (www.dea.com) today announced that the company has begun shipping EMS Professional Version 9.1, the latest release of its facility and resource scheduling software. Also available is an update to the add-on web-based component, Virtual EMS, which now offers an optional module through which authorized users can submit room requests or create room reservations directly from the Internet through any standard web browser. EMS (Event Management System) products are used throughout the U.S. and abroad by higher education campuses, corporations, hospitals, churches, school districts and other organizations to manage the scheduling of rooms, resources and services, and also to enable the publishing of event-related information to the Internet.

“Organizations no longer need an EMS Enterprise-sized budget to get the on-line request and reservation features they want,” says Susannah Parrish, DEA’s account executive for the Southwestern U.S., referring to the flagship of the EMS product line. “EMS Professional and EMS Lite customers said they wanted the ability to make requests and reservations from the web and I’m very pleased that our development team took that input and came up with a powerful, easy-to-use tool for doing just that. With the release of EMS Professional Version 9.1, all of our products now have state-of-the-art online request/reservation modules.”

In addition to the request/reservation capability, other improvements to Virtual EMS Professional Version 9.1 include tools for reviewing the types of rooms a facility offers, finding the events for a particular group, browsing for available space, organizing group meetings more efficiently, and speeding the log in process. Enhancements to the EMS Professional desktop component include simplified access to database management functions, the availability of detailed information on holidays on the Reservation Book, and a number of improvements to the way events are formatted and printed on reports.
