Dean Evans & Associates Awarded GSA Contract
EMS Software now in U.S. General Services Administration Vendor Database
DENVER -- Dean Evans & Associates (www.dea.com),
authors of the Event Management System (EMS) line of facility and resource scheduling
products, has been granted a Multiple Award Schedule contract by the U.S. General
Services Administration (GSA). The contract, which went into effect in October,
makes information on the company’s scheduling and calendaring systems available
in a vendor database that government agencies use to streamline the purchase of
products and services.
The contract application process, which took more than nine months to work through,
included a “past performance” evaluation by a third-party analyst firm as well as
a detailed review of the company’s finances. “It took a lot of time and effort to
obtain the GSA contract, but we feel it will be worth it,” says Kevin Raasch, executive
vice president of Dean Evans & Associates. “Increasing our visibility in the government
market will be good for us and also for federal entities that want a quality product
at a great price with a minimum of red tape.”
Members of the EMS sales staff are pleased to see the company’s product line added
to the General Services Administration database. “One of the first questions government
prospects ask me is whether we have a GSA contract number,” says Bryan Peck, Regional
Account Executive for the government-laden Mid-Atlantic region. “When the answer
was ‘No’, both the prospect and I knew we might be looking at an additional three
months or more to complete the transaction. The GSA contract will make things much
easier.”
