EMS Sales for First Half of 2006 up 66% over Same Period Last Year

Organizations new to computerized scheduling and those converting from other systems drive total revenue up 47%

DENVER -- Dean Evans & Associates (www.dea.com) today announced that sales of their EMS facility scheduling and calendaring systems for the first six months of 2006 were up 66% over the same period last year. Total revenue was up 47%. EMS room scheduling software is used by corporations, higher education campuses, hospitals, churches, school districts and other organizations to manage the scheduling of rooms, resources and services. EMS Master Calendar software is used to create interconnected web-based calendars that serve as the primary source of event information for large entities such as universities, municipalities, corporations and school districts.

“Sales numbers for both the first quarter and the first six months were records for DEA,” says Sean Mulvey, the company’s director of sales. “But more important than the numbers is the sense of momentum in the market. More and more organizations are realizing the benefits of implementing an EMS solution, and the decision makers within those organizations are talking to their peers in other organizations. In particular, sales of our hoteling software have been strong, with a number of Fortune 500 companies purchasing it for use in their offices worldwide.”

On the way to achieving these sales milestones, Dean Evans & Associates surpassed the 3000-customer mark, with installations throughout the U.S. and abroad. Many of those sites are large universities and corporations with tens of thousands of Virtual EMS and Master Calendar users, prompting the company’s conservative estimate that there are well over 1 million individual users of their products worldwide.

“We certainly take pride in the fact that our products are helping an ever-growing number of organizations work and communicate more effectively and efficiently,” says company president Dean Evans. “But we never ponder the success we’ve had without a sincere sense of gratitude. The loyalty of our customers and their insightful product development feedback have kept us motivated and challenged for the past 20 years. We look forward to that partnership continuing.”
