Dean Evans & Associates Convenes First Ever EMS Corporate Summit in New York City

Numerous industry leaders provide input on next iteration of facility and resource scheduling system, including shared workspace management (hoteling) functionality

DENVER -- Dean Evans & Associates (DEA) (www.dea.com), a leading provider of facility and resource scheduling systems, announced the recent completion of their first ever Event Management System (EMS) Corporate Summit. Real estate and corporate services executives from more than 20 blue-chip companies, accounting firms and law practices including host Citigroup, Accenture and Freddie Mac met with DEA President Dean Evans and other senior staff in New York to network and provide input on the next release of the EMS product line. Among the topics of discussion were how to continue to refine the company’s industry-leading shared workspace management (also known as “hoteling”) product.

“I found the two days truly worthwhile,” remarks Heather Smith of law firm Osler, Hoskin and Harcourt, LLP. “Not only did I have the chance to meet and learn from industry peers with needs similar to my own, I felt that our feedback will help shape future releases of the software.”

With the success of the event, the company is planning similar gatherings for other markets in which its meeting and event scheduling and interactive calendaring products enjoy a significant market share, such as higher education, religious, government, K-12 schools/districts, and healthcare.

“Inviting feedback from our customers has always been an important part of – in fact, the very first step in – our product development process,” says Dean Evans. “What’s unique about the Corporate Summit is that we solicited that input in a group setting, where, through the collaboration of some of the sharpest real estate professionals in the business, we were able to bring general product enhancement ideas into sharp focus in just a few days’ time. The result was both confirmation that we are moving in the right direction and some insightful suggestions on new areas in which to concentrate our R&D energies.”
