Conference Program

The main focus of the EMS Users Conference is for attendees to learn, share and discuss popular topics regarding EMS and the scheduling and calendaring industry. The conference offers over 80 educational sessions, panel discussions and product demonstrations - each specific to a certain aspect of EMS.

In addition to these educational sessions, attendees are encouraged to visit the EMS Resource Lab for one-on-one consultation and to browse our partner exhibits to learn about complementing products and services.

EMS Pre-Conference Training Clinic

This one-day training clinic gives a small number of EMS users the opportunity to explore the software in a more hands-on, interactive, small group environment. Held the day before general sessions begin, the Pre-Conference Training Clinic gives beginning users a chance to explore the basics of EMS with the expert EMS Client Services team. Each student will have access to a laptop preloaded with EMS to follow along with their instructor and become familiar with the software. To keep class sizes small, availability is extremely limited.

• Making and Editing Reservations
• Data Inquiries and the Browser
• Overview and Use of Billing Functions

This is a separate event with very limited availability – it is not included as part of the EMS Users Conference and requires an additional registration fee. Registration for the EMS Conference itself is required in order to attend this special event. The registration fee for this event is non-refundable.

EMS Conference Learning Sessions

A variety of session topics run concurrently in each session block to allow attendees to choose presentations they find of interest. Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes, with time set aside at the end for Q&A.

The "panel discussion" learning sessions are an excellent opportunity to ask why an EMS feature was designed the way it was or to make suggestions for future enhancements.

EMS Customer Showcase Sessions

Every year we invite our customers to be presenters at the Users Conference. These sessions are a great opportunity for conference attendees to see how other organizations are using EMS. The "Customer Showcases" are very popular and have often covered:

• How We Designed, Marketed and Implemented Our Virtual EMS Website
• Industry Best Practices With EMS
• Strategies for Expanding the Use of EMS Throughout Your Organization or Campus
• Product Development Brainstorming
• Unique Uses of EMS at Our Organization
• Our Experience Upgrading or Switching to EMS
• Current Events or Trends in the Industry

EMS Resource Lab

In addition to the educational sessions, we will also maintain a "Resource Lab" where attendees can receive one-on-one consultation with EMS staff while getting hands-on time with the software. This lab gives attendees the chance to practice what they’ve been learning in sessions or to work through specific questions they have about EMS. The Resource Lab is available daily throughout the conference.

A number of exhibitors and corporate partners will be in attendance at the conference to demonstrate their products and services. Please take time to visit with them in our Exhibit Hall and attend their presentations to discover how their offerings can complement your EMS system.
