Typically, EMS Lite™ receives many new features in a major update every 12-24 months with continuous improvements and enhancements on an as-needed basis. Below are the highlights from the latest release of EMS Lite, Version 8.0.

What's New in EMS Lite 8.0

  • Social networking enhancements to Virtual EMS™ - AddThis options are now available on the Event Details page, allowing users to quickly and easily bookmark and share content to various social networking sites.
  • New capacity features in Reservation Book - Maximum capacities are now displayed beside room descriptions; also, rooms can now be filtered by capacity.
  • Resource management enhancements - A variety of resource management enhancements have been made including the ability to copy a resource and the addition of Available On Web and Available At Checkout columns on the resource configuration summary screen.
  • New “Booking Changes” feature on Setup Worksheet - What's new? The Setup Worksheet now has a filter titled Show Booking Changes Only. Select this option and the report will only show you bookings within the specified date range that are new or changed.
  • Parameter search function - A Search field on the Parameters window now lets you easily locate a specific parameter.
  • Room copy feature - Create a room quickly and easily by copying an existing room!
  • Visual enhancements to Virtual EMS interface - The Virtual EMS user interface has been given a thorough updating and now sports a new look and feel.
  • Multi-booking editing in Virtual EMS - Get it done faster! New mass editing capability in Virtual EMS simplifies the updating of multiple bookings.
  • Benchmark Metrics report - The new Benchmark Metrics report automatically gathers a wide variety of data that can be used in completing the Facilities and Services Benchmark Survey or can simply be printed and reviewed by staff and management. Numbers of rooms, reservations, bookings, and service orders are just a few of the items reported on.
